Safety Guidelines
Fireworks are a wonderful part of celebration when handled with care. Please read this alongside the specific safety notes on each product.
Know your local regulations
Rules on permitted hours, noise limits and sale of fireworks vary by state and city. It is your responsibility to check and follow local regulations.
Before lighting
- Always light fireworks outdoors, in a large, open, flat area away from buildings, trees and dry vegetation.
- Keep a bucket of water or sand, and a torch, within easy reach.
- Read the specific safety notes on each product page before use — clearance requirements vary widely.
Around people
- Only one person should light a firework at a time, and everyone else should stand well back.
- Never allow young children to light fireworks; supervise closely even for low-risk items.
- Never point a firework at another person, even as a joke.
If something goes wrong
- Never relight a firework that has failed to ignite — wait at least 20 minutes, then soak it in water.
- Keep the bucket of water or sand within reach at all times, not just nearby.
- In case of injury, seek medical attention immediately; do not delay for any reason.
Storage
- Store fireworks in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and any source of flame or spark.
- Keep out of reach of children between purchase and use.
- Do not store leftover or used fireworks — dispose of spent items responsibly.
